About Our Team

The Health Solutions Team's mission is to educate and motivate children and families to practice healthy lifestyles including physical activity and healthy nutrition thereby reducing childhood obesity and its effect on future generations. 

Why focus on childhood obesity?

If the current rise in obesity trends continues, today’s generation of children will be the first to live shorter, unhealthier lives than their parents. Therefore, the Unite Escambia: Health Solutions Team (HST) set the following long-term goal: Reduce the number of children who are overweight or obese in Escambia County to 20% by 2020.
