WE CAN! (Ways to Enhance Children’s Activity and Nutrition) is a nationally successful program the HST adopted in June 2008.
Over one hundred youth at the Fricker and Cobb Community Centers and OJ Semmes Elementary School have or are currently participating in this highly engaging after school and summer program.
Recent News
The Media Smart Youth (MSY) program has begun at OJ Semmes. Fourth and fifth grade students are participating in the program from 2:00 – 3:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Support staff is needed to assist the lead facilitator, Elizabeth Essig of the UWF after school program.
Please contact Elizabeth Essig (essigem@gmail.com) directly if you are able to support the MSY program at OJ Semmes. Previous training is not required, nor a commitment for each session.
THE KID'S CAFE

The Kid's Cafe will be using produce from the garden at OJ Semmes Elementary School to prepare meals at the school and to the community. Volunteers are needed to expand on these efforts.
