About Unite Escambia

We can all do something and together we can achieve more. Change can start with just a few small steps.

Unite Escambia is a community-wide movement in pursuit of a shared Community Vision:  “A healthy community where all have the inspiration and opportunity to succeed.”  Unite Escambia developed a team-based approach to community problem solving, and set  the areas of Education, Environment, Health, Housing and Poverty as the top priorities needing to be addressed.  The Escambia County School Board, Board of County Commissioners and Pensacola City Council all have endorsed the Unite Escambia Community Vision and Priorities.

Shared Vision to Create a Community United in Positive Change

The Community Vision of Unite Escambia is a shared community agenda that reflects the ultimate goals of nearly all local nonprofit organizations, including United Way and its network of nonprofit partners, and the Escambia County Health Department.

Unite Escambia's shared community agenda encourages residents to actively promote and participate in Action Items such as recycling, reading to children, encouraging healthy eating habits, and helping with programs that seek to improve financial stability and reduce poverty. These are things that anyone can do.  Few, if any, require giving money.
