What do you believe should be the highest priority in Escambia County?

Basic Information

Inspiration for Escambia is a local grant program that invites community members, groups, and organizations to submit project ideas that can bring positive change to Escambia County. All projects must fit within one of Unite Escambia’s five community priorities: Education, Environment, Health, Housing, and Poverty.

In each category, a grant sponsor will choose the five best project submissions. Through online voting, the public will choose which of the five project ideas will receive the grant.

There are five $1,000 grants available, one for each priority (Education, Environment, Health, Housing, and Poverty). Grant winners will work with Unite Escambia volunteers to complete their projects within three months.

Project ideas can be submitted by anyone but the project must be held in Escambia County for the population of Escambia County residents.

Projects will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Is the project addressing a prioritized need in the community?
  • Can the work of project be completed in three months, and the results sustained to create a meaningful impact for one of the five priority areas?
  • Is the project sustainable?
  • Does the grant application indicate that there are volunteers willing to help with the project?
